4-MODULE BUNDLE · $29 ONE-TIME

Middle & High School Group Therapy Bundle

A four-module group-session bundle — opening check-in, coping-skills rehearsal, emotional-regulation drills, and a closing ritual — clocked to a school-counselor rotation or a clinic-based 4-session group.

$29Group-therapy bundle · 4 facilitator scripts · 48 pages · printable download

A clinician-ready bundle that strings four timed facilitator scripts out of the Summer Bloom, Surfing the Waves, Emotional Regulation Activity Pack, and Teen Coping Skills Toolkit group-entry lanes. Every module carries one clinical goal, a printable materials list, a session script timed for a 45–60 minute group container, and one to two activities drawn so rehearsal happens in triads during the session, not as solo homework. Priced at one printable bundle so it lands at the same $19–$39 anchor as the 4-week and School Mental Health Starter Kit bundles.

Built for

The school counselor running a structured small group or the group therapist running a 4-session rotation that needs a graded arc — one that opens with a check-in norm the group owns, rehearses coping skills in triads, drills arousal work as a shared ladder, and closes on a ritual the teens can carry past the program.

  • Cue.One-off group plans don’t chain — the icebreaker from last week doesn’t survive the coping-skills drill this week, and the closing ritual at the end of the rotation has nothing to anchor against because no module built toward it.
  • Body.Rehearsal collapses without a script — the check-in round drifts, the pocket-skill pick happens in solo, and the trigger ladder that the group co-builds in week three is already a stranger by the time the closing-arc ritual lands in week four.
  • Skills.Four timed facilitator scripts (45–60 minutes each), four printable materials lists, and one shared group-norms poster the room builds together in module 01 and returns to in module 04 — so rehearsal lands in triads during the session, not as solo homework.

What’s inside

Four modules, one group session at a time.

Every card below is one module — one clinical goal, the materials you print before the group, the facilitator script timed for a 45–60 minute container, and the 1–2 activities the group rehearses inside the session so the carry-over survives the next high-arousal hallway moment.

Module 01

Opening — Icebreaker & check-in

Goal

Land a structured group norm and a 4-quadrant check-in so each teen has a voice in the first ten minutes without forcing disclosure.

Materials

  • 4-quadrant check-in card (energy / mood / social / wins, half-letter)
  • Group-norms poster (one-page, reusable across groups)
  • Timed 8-minute icebreaker prompt deck (8 prompts)
  • One 60-second reset timer visible across the room

Script — 45–60 minute group container

  1. Norm co-build (5 min) — facilitator and group write 3–5 group norms together on the poster; each teen contributes one word, no vetoes; norms stay up for every module.
  2. Check-in rounds (10 min) — facilitator runs the 4-quadrant card; each teen names one number per quadrant, no follow-up pressure; the card lands with the teen, not the facilitator.
  3. Icebreaker (15 min) — facilitator pulls one 8-minute prompt from the icebreaker deck; teens answer in triads, three rounds each; one closing word back to the room.
  4. Norm-to-routine rehearsal (25 min) — facilitator names one norm the group agreed on and rehearses it live; triads re-run the check-in once, this time with the rehearsal frame attached.
  5. Close (5 min) — one word per teen as the group ritual that closes every module; check-in card travels with the teen, not the facilitator.

Activities the group rehearses this module

  • 4-quadrant check-in card (from Summer Bloom / Surfing the Waves group entries)
  • 8-prompt icebreaker deck (from Summer Bloom / Surfing the Waves group entries)

Module 02

Coping skills group activities

Goal

Rehearse coping skills across the room so rehearsal happens in triads, not in solo — every teen picks 2 pocket skills they will run before the next module.

Materials

  • Coping-skills sort card (group-card deck, 32 cards × 4 copies)
  • Values sort deck (four life areas, eight cards each)
  • Four-pocket mat (this week / next week / parked / never)
  • TIPP skills pick card (Temperature / Intense exercise / Paced breath / Progressive relax)

Script — 45–60 minute group container

  1. Check-in (5 min) — return to the 4-quadrant card; each teen names one quadrant number that moved since the last module, no narrative required.
  2. Skills pull (15 min) — facilitator lays the TIPP / IMPROVE / ACCEPTS / wise-mind access cards on the mat; triads pick two skills each, write the names on the four-pocket mat under "this week".
  3. Triad rehearsal (20 min) — three rounds of double-pulled skills, one round per teen per skill; facilitator times three 60-second reps across the room.
  4. Pocket-skills pick (15 min) — each teen picks the 2 pocket skills they will run before the next module; facilitator writes the names on the 4-quadrant card back so the carry-over survives the next group.
  5. Close (5 min) — each teen names one pocket skill out loud; the four-pocket mat travels with the room, the card travels with the teen.

Activities the group rehearses this module

  • Group-card coping-skills sort deck (from Emotional Regulation Activity Pack + Surfing the Waves)
  • Values sort deck (from Teen Coping Skills Toolkit)

Module 03

Emotional regulation group rounds

Goal

Rehearse body-cue → trigger ladder → coping-skill arc as a 4-round group drill so rehearsal survives the next high-arousal hallway moment.

Materials

  • Body-cue mapping sheet (half-letter, one per teen)
  • Trigger-ladder worksheet, 8 ranked rungs
  • TIPP skills pick card (carry-over from module 2)
  • One 60-second reset timer visible across the room

Script — 45–60 minute group container

  1. Check-in (5 min) — return to module 2 pocket-skills pick; each teen names one pocket skill they ran since last group and the body-cue that triggered it.
  2. Body-cue round (10 min) — facilitator names one body-cue at a time; each teen writes the cue under their hand on the body-cue mapping sheet, no cross-talk, three rounds.
  3. Trigger-ladder co-build (15 min) — group builds one shared 8-rung ladder from concrete antecedents (hallway, group chat, practice field); each teen claims one rung.
  4. 4-round rehearsal drill (25 min) — three triads run the body-cue → rung → pocket-skill arc four times; facilitator tracks arousal, not time; one rep per rung.
  5. Close (5 min) — each teen names the rung where rehearsal should start next group; trigger-ladder card travels with the room, body-cue card travels with the teen.

Activities the group rehearses this module

  • Body-cue mapping sheet (from Emotional Regulation Activity Pack)
  • Trigger-ladder worksheet (from Emotional Regulation Activity Pack)

Module 04

Closing — Reflection ritual

Goal

Close the four-module arc with one repeated group ritual each teen can carry past the program — the three good things + strengths card build gives the arc an anchor.

Materials

  • Three good things ritual sheet (two-week half-sheet)
  • Strengths card build (strength / accomplishment / person-in-corner)
  • Self-compassion break card (carry-over from module 2)
  • Group-norms poster (carry-over from module 1)

Script — 45–60 minute group container

  1. Check-in + arc review (5 min) — each teen names one carry-over from modules 1–3; facilitator reads the four-module arc back to the group.
  2. Three good things live (15 min) — each teen fills the first week on the half-sheet live, three rows; one self-cued row per teen to keep the bar low.
  3. Strengths card build (20 min) — each teen fills the strengths card: one strength, one accomplishment from the four-module arc, the name of the person-in-corner on the back; group shares one card per triad.
  4. Self-compassion break (5 min) — facilitator reads the three sentences on the self-compassion break card; each teen picks the line that lands for them and writes it on the card back.
  5. Close + closure phrase (5 min) — facilitator returns to the group-norms poster; each teen names the closure phrase they will carry past the program; group says it together once.

Activities the group rehearses this module

  • Three good things ritual sheet (from Teen Coping Skills Toolkit)
  • Strengths card build (from Teen Coping Skills Toolkit)

Tied to the catalog

Every module draws from the in-catalog group-entry lane rather than a brand-new arc. Opening and closing modules draw from the Summer Bloom / Surfing the Waves group entries; coping-skills and emotional-regulation modules pull from the Emotional Regulation Activity Pack and the Teen Coping Skills Toolkit overlap. Clinicians running any of those groups on their own can stitch the same hand-off back into this four-module arc without rewriting the materials.

The four-module slot fits a school counselor’s structured small group, an outpatient group therapist’s 4-session rotation, or a clinic-based adolescent group series that needs a graded arc with a stable opening ritual and a clear closure anchor. The group-norms poster co-built in module 01 returns in module 04 as the closure phrase the group says together — so the arc closes on something the teenagers named themselves, not something the facilitator imported. Priced at the same $19–$39 anchor as the 4-week and School Mental Health Starter Kit bundles so a school counseling office that runs all three bundles together can paper a full-year rotation without overrunning the prep budget.
